Marco is one of the two founding Partners of Volpi Capital LLP, a Private Equity Fund focused on tech enabled services, software and information based B to B companies in Europe


He has Previously invested in and served on the boards of:

  • EDSA, a diversified online, mobile and digital marketing services company (Finland, The Netherlands, & Austria) controlled by Triton Private Equity funds (2012 - 2024)

  • Autovista, formerly EurotaxGlass's (NED), Europe's leading automotive business information and intelligence company, across 21 countries. controlled by Hayfin Capital (2012-2018)

  • ITE Group PLC, (Non Executive Chairman), a FTSE 250 company in the international exhibition and trade show industry, focused on emerging markets (2012- 2017)

  • Metro International (Non Executive Chairman), the world's largest newspaper (over 17m readers) owned by the Kinnevik Group, which is controlled by the Stenbeck family (2014 - 2017)

  • Synchtank, a UK/USA software company for the music rights industry (2012-2015)

  • Data Centrum Communications, a USA health care information company (1995 - 2015)

In 2006 Marco received numerous awards as best private equity deal of the year for Yellow Brick Road, the Yellow Pages rollup sold to Macquarie for €1.85 bil.

Marco left Veronis Suhler Stevenson in March 2010 after 23 successful years as both a General Partner and Investment Committee Member.  He started and led all aspects of VSS activities in Europe since 1999.

Prior to joining VSS in 1988, Mr. Sodi was shareholder and manager in Computerworks, a start up in the personal computer industry and worked for four years at Exxon Enterprises, the venture capital arm of ExxonMobil.  Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Mr. Sodi received a BS from Cornell University. 

Marco has 5 children and is an avid sports enthusiast, including open water swimming.
